Escape or unescape strings locally for JSON string values, JavaScript string literals, SQL single-quoted literals, POSIX shell single-quoted tokens, RFC 4180 CSV fields, and regex literal patterns.
This page runs only in the browser. Input is not uploaded, not read from URLs, and not written to local storage or backend logs. Share the complete analysis report when raw strings may contain secrets.
Limits: input up to 256 KiB. JSON/JavaScript unescape expects a quoted string literal; SQL and shell unescape expect one single-quoted literal or token; CSV unescape expects one field, not a full row. Regex mode escapes literal text for pattern use and does not execute the pattern.
